Edmundo Zura
Edmundo Salomón Zura de Jesús (born 12 January 1983 in Pimampiro, Imbabura), is an Ecuadorian professional footballer who plays for El Nacional. Zura is a centre forward who is known for his superb heading, powerful shooting and ruthless finishing. Zura celebrates his goals by donning a blue Spider-Man style wrestling mask as a tribute to Otilino Tenorio who was killed in a car accident. His brother Rommel Zura is also a professional footballer and playing for Emelec. Club career Zura started out playing with the LDU Quito under-18 side before joining Imbabura SC where he played in the lower divisions. He then moved to El Nacional for six months before rejoining Imbabura SC. He is currently under contract with Imbabura SC until 2011. A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. Ever Hugo Almeida Almada (born 1 July 1948) is a Paraguayan football manager and former player who played as a goalkeeper. He is the current manager of Ecuadorian club El Nacional. Almeida was born in Salto, Uruguay, but became a naturalized Paraguayan in 1975. Career As player Almeida made his professional debut in 1967 at the age of 19 playing for C.A. Cerro of Montevideo. After a few years in the Uruguayan football league he was transferred to Club Guaraní of Paraguay. Shortly afterwards, in 1973, he received an offer from Olimpia. Club Sport Emelec is an Ecuadorian sports club based in Guayaquil that is best known for their professional football team. Otilino George Tenorio Bastidas (1 February 1980 – 7 May 2005) was an Ecuadorian footballer who played as a forward. Club career Tenorio was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador. His nickname was 'Spiderman', because when he scored a goal in a football match he would cover his head with a Spider-Man mask as he celebrated. He joined Emelec of Guayaquil when he was eleven, and went on to play for the club at a professional level. He was noted for his good finishing ability and his flamboyant mask celebration was enjoyed by many.
