Eden Park, Victoria
Eden Park is a locality in Victoria, Australia, north-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Whittlesea local government area. Eden Park recorded a population of 1,194 at the 2021 census. History Eden Park gets its name from an estate of the same name, which was sold by Ewen and Janet Robertson to an investor in 1888. Robertson originally acquired approximately 400ha in 1854 to build "Breadalbane", a twelve-roomed homestead. Much of the land is prone to erosion, which has limited development. A primary school in Eden Park existed from 1904 to 1942. Eden Park Post Office opened on 7 October 1905, and closed in 1971. Melbourne Polytechnic has a training centre in Eden Park called Northern Lodge, which operates as a thoroughbred stud and vineyard for students undertaking equine studies, and courses in viticulture and winemaking. The electoral district of Yan Yean is an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It is located on the fringes of Melbourne, Victoria, Melbourne's northern suburbs and contains the towns of Hurstbridge, Victoria, Hurstbridge, Plenty, Victoria, Plenty, Whittlesea, Victoria, Whittlesea and Yan Yean, Victoria, Yan Yean. Eden Park Kangaroo Cull
During October 2010 the Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE (NMIT) applied for and received a 12-month permit from the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment for the Eden Park Kangaroo Cull to cull 300 eastern grey kangaroos on its 320 hectare Eden Park Vineyard and farm and Northern Lodge equine stud. Stud Farm
A stud farm or stud in animal husbandry is an establishment for selective breeding of livestock. The word "stud" comes from the Old English ''stod'' meaning "herd of horses, place where horses are kept for breeding". Historically, documentation of the breedings that occur on a stud farm leads to the development of a stud book. Male animals made available for breeding to outside female animals are said to be "standing at stud", or at "stud service", referencing the relatively high probability that they are kept at a stud farm. Melbourne Polytechnic, formerly NMIT, is an institute of higher education and vocational education (TAFE) located in Melbourne, Australia that has been operating since around 1910. 2021 Australian Census
The 2021 Australian census, simply called the 2021 Census, was the eighteenth national Census of Population and Housing in Australia. The 2021 Census took place on 10 August 2021, and was conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). The total population of the Commonwealth of Australia was counted as 25,422,788 – an increase of 8.6 per cent or 2,020,896 people over the previous 2016 census. City Of Whittlesea
The City of Whittlesea is a local government area located in the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The city covers an area of , and in June 2018, it had a population of 223,322.
