Eddie Cheever III
Edward Mackay "Eddie" Cheever III (born 5 June 1993) is an Italian-American racing driver who competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for MR Racing in the LMGTE Am class. He is the son of retired Formula One driver Eddie Cheever. Career Karting Born in Rome, Cheever began karting in 2006 and raced primarily in Europe for the majority of his karting career, working his way up from the junior ranks to progress through to the KF2 category by 2009 and finishing 15th in the CIK-FIA European Championship. Formula Renault Cheever graduated to single-seaters in 2009. He competed with Jenzer Motorsport in the Swiss and Italian championships, finishing eleventh and fourteenth in the final standings, respectively. Eddie Cheever
Edward McKay "Eddie" Cheever Jr. (born January 10, 1958) is an American former racing driver who raced for almost 30 years in Formula One, sports cars, CART, and the Indy Racing League. Cheever participated in 143 Formula One World Championship races and started 132, more than any other American, driving for nine different teams from 1978 through 1989. In 1996, he formed his own IRL team, Team Cheever, and won the 1998 Indianapolis 500 as both owner and driver. The team later competed in sports cars. His younger brother Ross Cheever, nephew Richard Antinucci and son Eddie Cheever III also became racing drivers. 2011 Italian Formula Three Season
The 2011 Italian Formula Three Championship was the 47th Italian Formula Three Championship season. The season began on 15 May on the new for the championship Autodromo di Franciacorta and ended on 16 October at Monza after 16 races held at eight meetings. With victories at Spa, Vallelunga, Sergio Campana of BVM – Target Racing finished the season as champion, becoming third driver in row to win championship for this team. He finished seventeen points clear of Prema Powerteam driver Michael Lewis, who won rookie championship and three races during the season. The GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup, officially known as Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS for sponsorship reasons, formerly the FIA GT Series, is a sports car racing series organized by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) with the approval of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It was sponsored by Blancpain from 2014 to 2019, when it was variously branded as the Blancpain Sprint Series in 2014 and 2015, the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup in 2016 to 2018, and the Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe in 2019.
