Ed Rubinoff
Edward 'Ed' Rubinoff (born July 12, 1935) is an American male former tennis player who was active in the 1960s. He won the 1952 singles title at the Orange Bowl junior tennis tournament, and the 1953 mixed doubles title the following year. At the US Open, he was a mixed doubles finalist three times. At the 1969 Maccabiah Games in Israel, he won a gold medal in mixed doubles with Julie Heldman. Rubinoff played collegiate tennis for the Miami Hurricanes at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. Biography Rubinoff was born in Brooklyn, New York and at age 10 moved to Miami Beach, Florida. He became captain of the Miami Beach Senior High School tennis team, and in 1952 won the National Scholastic singles and doubles titles. He received a full scholarship to the University of Miami. Fred Stolle
Frederick Sydney Stolle, AO (born 8 October 1938) is an Australian former amateur world No. 1 tennis player and commentator. He was born in Hornsby, New South Wales, Australia. He is the father of former Australian Davis Cup player Sandon Stolle. Career Stolle is notable for being the only male player in history to have lost his first five Grand Slam singles finals, the fifth of which he led by two sets to love. However, Stolle went on to win two Grand Slam tournament singles titles, the 1965 French Championships and the 1966 US Championships. At Wimbledon and the Australian Championships he finished as runner-up in these tournaments and losing to compatriot Roy Emerson on no fewer than five occasions. Owen Davidson
Owen Keir Davidson (born 4 October 1943) is a former professional tennis player of the 1960s and 1970s. Alongside Billie Jean King, Davidson won eight grand slam mixed doubles titles. In 1967 he won a calendar year slam for mixed doubles, when he won the Australian Championships (with Lesley Turner Bowrey), and the French Championships, Wimbledon and the US Championships (with King). Davidson became the first player to win a match in the open era of tennis when he defeated John Clifton in the first round of the British Hard Court Championships in Bournemouth played in April 1968. Donna Floyd Fales (née Floyd; born October 14, 1940) is a former American amateur tennis player. She was ranked in the Top 10 in the United States from 1960 to 1963, and from 1965 to 1966. Biography She was born in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Arlington, Virginia at the age of 13. During her playing career she lived in New York City and since 1968 in Miami, Florida. Carol Hanks Aucamp (born April 2, 1943) is a retired tennis player who played in the 1960s. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Accomplishments She was ranked as high as No. 5 in the United States (1964), and was ranked 10th in 1960, 11th in 1961, 12th in 1962 and 7th in 1963. John David Newcombe AO OBE (born 23 May 1944) is an Australian former professional tennis player. He is one of the few men to have attained a world No. 1 ranking in both singles and doubles. At the majors, he won seven singles titles, a former record 17 men's doubles titles, and two mixed doubles titles. He also contributed to five Davis Cup titles for Australia during an age when the Davis Cup was deemed as significant as the majors. Kenneth Norman Fletcher (15 June 1940 – 11 February 2006) was an Australian tennis player who won numerous doubles and mixed doubles Grand Slam titles. Margaret Court (''née'' Smith; born 16 July 1942), also known as Margaret Smith Court, is an Australian retired former world No. 1 tennis player and a Christian minister. Judy Tegart Dalton (née Tegart; born 12 December 1937) is an Australian former professional tennis player.
