Eastern Guilford High School
Eastern Guilford High School is a secondary school located in Gibsonville, North Carolina. The school opened in 1974. Today, it serves Grades 9 through 12, with an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students. On November 1, 2006, a fire erupted at the school burning it to the ground. It was believed to have started in a closet in a science classroom. Authorities believe the cause to be arson, yet no leads have come forth in over 15 years. New school construction The students of Eastern Guilford were attending classes at a " pod village". Construction of the new Eastern Guilford High School building is complete. The school is of the same architectural design as the recently constructed Northern Guilford High School, and has a capacity of 1,600 students. The original estimated date of completion was January 2009, but construction was not completed until April 2009. Gibsonville, North Carolina
Gibsonville ("City of Roses") is a town in both Alamance County, North Carolina, Alamance and Guilford County, North Carolina, Guilford counties in the U.S. state of North Carolina. Most of Gibsonville is situated in the Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point, North Carolina, High Point Combined Statistical Area and the eastern portion is in the Burlington, North Carolina Metropolitan Statistical Area, encompassing all of Alamance County. Portable Classroom
A portable classroom (also known as a demountable or relocatable classroom, portables, bungalows), is a type of portable building installed at a school to temporarily and quickly provide additional classroom space where there is a shortage of capacity. Northern Guilford High School
Northern Guilford High School is a public high school located in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is situated in proximity to NC Highway 150, which connects to Browns Summit and to Summerfield. It opened its doors to students on January 29, 2008. The school was built because of the overcrowding of Northwest Guilford and Northeast Guilford high schools. Athletics In 2009, the Northern Basketball Team finished 30–3 and Won the 3A Title. However, they were later stripped of their state title due to residency issues. The Northern Men's Golf Team Won the 2010 3A State Title. Terrence Holt
Terrence DaQuay Holt (born March 5, 1980) is a former American football safety. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the 5th round (137th overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at North Carolina State University. Holt was also a member of the Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, and New Orleans Saints. Torry Holt
Torry Jabar Holt (born June 5, 1976) is a former professional American football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for eleven seasons. He was named to the Pro Bowl seven times and retired with the 10th most receiving yards, including a record six consecutive seasons with 1,300 yards. He played college football at North Carolina State University, and earned consensus All-American honors. He was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft, and spent the next ten years with the Rams and is remembered as one of the members of the "Greatest Show on Turf."
