Northern Guilford High School
Northern Guilford High School is a public high school located in Greensboro, North Carolina. It is situated in proximity to NC Highway 150, which connects to Browns Summit and to Summerfield. It opened its doors to students on January 29, 2008. The school was built because of the overcrowding of Northwest Guilford and Northeast Guilford high schools. Athletics In 2009, the Northern Basketball Team finished 30–3 and Won the 3A Title. However, they were later stripped of their state title due to residency issues. The Northern Men's Golf Team Won the 2010 3A State Title. Northern Women's Golf Team 2011 & 2013 3A State Runner-Up Northern Men's Track and Field Team 2011 3A State Runner-Up Northern Men's Track and Field Team 2012 3A State Champion. Greensboro, North Carolina
Greensboro (; formerly Greensborough) is a city in and the county seat of Guilford County, North Carolina, United States. It is the third-most populous city in North Carolina after Charlotte and Raleigh, the 69th-most populous city in the United States, and the largest city in the Piedmont Triad metropolitan region. At the 2020 census, its population was 299,035. Three major interstate highways (Interstate 40, Interstate 85, and Interstate 73) in the Piedmont region of central North Carolina were built to intersect at this city. Nighthawk
The nighthawk is a nocturnal bird of the subfamily Chordeilinae, within the nightjar family, Caprimulgidae, native to the western hemisphere. The term "nighthawk", first recorded in the King James Bible of 1611, was originally a local name in England for the European nightjar. Northwest Guilford High School
Northwest Guilford High School is a public high school in Guilford County, North Carolina. It currently has an enrollment of 1,947 students in grades 9 through 12. The school was ranked by ''Newsweek''s Best High Schools in America as 261st among American high schools. The school also received an award from Siemens for its strength in Science and Math AP education, and was listed by High Schools That Work as one of the top 36 high schools in the United States. Northeast Guilford High School
Northeast Guilford High School is a secondary school located in McLeansville, North Carolina. The school serves grades nine through twelve, with an enrollment of 1265 students for the 2007 school year. Demographically, the school serves primarily Caucasian and African American students, who make up 47% and 43% of total enrollment respectively. The remainder of the student body is composed of Hispanics (5%), multi-racial students (3%), Asians (1%), and American Indians (1%), Northeast Guilford has a main building, a vocational building, and a well-established amount of portable classrooms. In the year 2005, due to the increase in enrollment, Northeast Guilford was targeted for expansion. The cafeteria was updated to accommodate 500 students. Keenan Allen
Keenan Alexander Allen (born April 27, 1992) is an American football wide receiver for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at California before leaving after his junior year. He was drafted by the Chargers in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Allen won multiple rookie honors after setting Chargers' records for receptions and receiving yards by a rookie. In 2017, he was named the NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
