East Lancs Myllennium Vyking
The East Lancs Vyking is a type of double-decker bus body built by East Lancashire Coachbuilders. It is the double-deck version of the Spryte. It continued the long line of 'misspelt' names which continued until the Scania OmniDekka. It was built on the Volvo B7TL chassis. The name "Vyking" was derived from the chassis being built by a company from Sweden. Options included air conditioning, additional CCTV, bonded glazing, double glazing, driver protection, electronic destination displays, powered wheelchair ramp. Myllennium Vyking The East Lancs Myllennium Vyking was a facelift ''East Lancs Vyking''; they were built between 2001 and 2006. The Myllennium Vyking was built either as a closed-top or an open-top bus. East Lancs Myllennium Nordic
The East Lancs Nordic is a type of low-floor double-decker bus body built by East Lancashire Coachbuilders. It is built on tri-axle double-decker Volvo B7L chassis, with a length of 12 metres and a seating capacity of 95 passengers. The Nordic body design is based on an elongated version of the East Lancs Vyking body, with the name "Nordic" being derived from the chassis being built by a company from Sweden. The bus was later superseded by the East Lancs Olympus tri-axle variant in 2006. Operations United Kingdom First Glasgow were the only operator in the United Kingdom to purchase Nordics, taking delivery of ten examples in October and November 2002. The East Lancs Myllennium Lowlander is the type of double-decker bus body built on the DAF/VDL DB250 chassis by East Lancashire Coachbuilders. The name "Lowlander" was derived from the chassis being built by a company from The Netherlands. History The Myllennium Lowlander superseded the East Lancs Lowlander, which was never released in the original design due to no orders being placed, therefore no examples of the previous model were built. East Lancs decided to retain the Lolyne/Myllennium Lolyne name for their bodies for Dennis Trident 2s rather than change the name to Lowlander, as they felt the name's association with The Netherlands would make it a fitting name for their body for the DAF DB250. The East Lancs Myllennium was a type of single-decker bus body manufactured by East Lancashire Coachbuilders on DAF SB220, Dennis Dart SLF, MAN 14.220 and Scania OmniTown chassis. The Dennis Trident 2 is a 2-axle low-floor double-decker bus chassis originally manufactured by Dennis, which was unveiled in 1997 and replaced the Dennis Arrow. It was built by TransBus after Dennis was incorporated into the group in 2001, then from 2004, it was built by Alexander Dennis following the collapse of TransBus. Boscombe
Boscombe is a suburb of Bournemouth, England. Historically in Hampshire, but today in Dorset, it is located to the east of Bournemouth town centre and west of Southbourne.
