East Bengal The Real Power
East Bengal the Real Power (EBRP) is the first registered fan club in India, which was established on 15 November 2006, and supports the Indian club, East Bengal. It is one of the largest fan clubs in the country. It helps the fans and the club during match days, organises various social activities and events. It also runs a U19 football coaching camp. The group started as an Orkut group and gradually expanded into a supporter group of over 150,000 members. It played a major role in the centenary celebrations of East Bengal by hoisting club flags in 50 Indian cities and 50 other cities all over the world. Indian Super Cup (1997–2011)
The Indian Super Cup was Indian football's annual match contested between the champions of the previous National Football League or I-League season and the holders of the Federation Cup, usually held at a neutral venue. If the League champions also won the Federation Cup then the league runners-up would provide the opposition. The fixture was usually considered the curtain raiser to the Indian football domestic season. COVID-19 Pandemic Lockdown In India
On the evening of 24 March 2020, the Government of India ordered a nationwide lockdown for 21days, limiting movement of the entire 1.38billion (138 crore) population of India as a preventive measure against the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Suley Musah (born 6 May 1979) is a retired Ghanaian professional footballer who played as a defender and last played for East Bengal FC in 2008. Career Suley Musah began his career at Afienya United FC as a right back in the Ghana Premier League. Douglas de Silva (born 19 May 1974 in São Paulo, Brazil) is a retired Brazilian professional footballer, who played as a midfielder and defender for various teams, including Santos FC, East Bengal FC. Chima Ephraim Okorie (born 8 October 1968 in Izomber, Abia State) is a Nigerian former professional football striker who was renowned for his goalscoring prowess in the Indian leagues.
