EC Radar
Esporte Clube Radar was a Brazilian professional women's association football club, based in the Copacabana neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Founded in 1981, they enjoyed unprecedented success in the early days of women's football in Brazil, winning both the Taça Brasil de Futebol Feminino and the Campeonato Carioca de Futebol Feminino on six consecutive occasions during the 1980s. Additionally, they would barnstorm in high profile, televised challenge matches against other Brazilian women's teams. The club functioned as the Brazil women's national football team at the 1986 Mundialito and the 1988 FIFA Women's Invitation Tournament. Castor Gonçalves de Andrade e Silva (12 February 1926 – 11 April 1997) was a well-known ''bicheiro''A "bicheiro" or "banker" is the mobster who operates the jogo do bicho ("the animal's game"), a popular Brazilian illegal gambling game. in Rio de Janeiro. From the 1980s, Castor de Andrade was the uncontested leader of all the main ''bicheiros'' of the city of Rio de Janeiro, and had more than 100 policemen and a number of public servants, prominent politicians, and judges working for him. Castor was also very involved in the Brazilian Carnival and in soccer—he was the major sponsor of Bangu Atlético Clube and even called the "owner of Bangu", and he was also the patron of samba school Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel.
