EC Radar
Esporte Clube Radar was a Brazilian professional women's association football club, based in the Copacabana neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Founded in 1981, they enjoyed unprecedented success in the early days of women's football in Brazil, winning both the Taça Brasil de Futebol Feminino and the Campeonato Carioca de Futebol Feminino on six consecutive occasions during the 1980s. Additionally, they would barnstorm in high profile, televised challenge matches against other Brazilian women's teams. Márcia Honório da Silva (born 22 August 1962), commonly known as Marcinha, is a Brazilian football coach and former player. She was a midfielder for the Brazil women's national football team. In 1984 Marcinha, who was playing for Clube Atlético Juventus, had the meniscus removed from her right knee. She was employed in a beauty salon at the time. Marcinha was part of the EC Radar club team who represented Brazil at the 1988 FIFA Women's Invitation Tournament in Guangdong and finished in third place. She had also played for Brazil at the 1986 edition of the Mundialito tournament in Italy. 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup
The 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup was the inaugural FIFA Women's World Cup, the world championship for women's national association football teams. It took place in Guangdong, China from 16 to 30 November 1991. FIFA, football's international governing body selected China as host nation as Guangdong had hosted a prototype world championship three years earlier, the 1988 FIFA Women's Invitation Tournament. Matches were played in the provincial capital, Guangzhou, as well as in Foshan, Jiangmen and Zhongshan. The competition was sponsored by Mars, Incorporated, maker of M&M's candy. (September 14, 1924 – September 22, 1997) was a Japanese- Brazilian painter. Mabe worked as a vendor of hand-painted ties in São Paulo before becoming a famous artist. In the late 1950s, Mabe won the top award in São Paulo's Contemporary Art Salon, the top award as Brazil's best painter in the São Paulo Bienal, and the top honors for artists under 35 at Paris's first biennial. Estádio Mourão Vieira Filho, usually known as Estádio da Rua Bariri, is a football stadium in Olaria neighborhood, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 8,300 people.
