Eğlen, Polateli
Eğlen is a village in the Polateli District, Kilis Province, Turkey. The village is inhabited by Turkicized Kurds of the Delikan, Pazuki, and Reşwan tribes, Turkmens of the Çavuşlu tribe, and Fellah Arabs. It had a population of 75 in 2022. In late 19th century, German orientalist Martin Hartmann listed the village as a settlement of 10 houses inhabited by Kurds. Kilis Province
Kilis Province ( tr, Kilis ili) is a province in southern Turkey, on the border with Syria. It used to be the southern part of the province of Gaziantep and was formed in 1994. The town of Kilis is home to around 67% of the inhabitants of the province; the other towns and villages are very small. Pazuki
Pazukî (or Pazuki in English language sources) is a Kurdish tribe whose members live in different regions in Kurdistan as well as in and around Tehran, Iran. The tribe is mentioned in the 16th century Kurdish historical book ''Sharafnama'' by Sharaf Khan Bidlisi. There are some variants of the name Pazuki and they are known under the various names, like ''Bazikî'', ''Bozukan'', ''Bazukan'' etc. Pazukî was originally a tribal confederation like Rojiki Kurds. Some branches of them speak Kurmanji and the others speak Zazakî. But Henry Field mentioned their Iranian branch also as a Turcophonic community in 1939. Fellah
A fellah ( ar, فَلَّاح ; feminine ; plural ''fellaheen'' or ''fellahin'', , ) is a peasant, usually a farmer or agricultural laborer in the Middle East and North Africa. The word derives from the Arabic word for "ploughman" or "tiller". Due to a continuity in beliefs and lifestyle with that of the Ancient Egyptians, the fellahin of Egypt have been described as the "true Egyptians". A fellah could be seen wearing a simple Egyptian cotton robe called ''galabieh'' (''jellabiya''). The word ''galabieh'' originated around 1715–25 and derived from the Egyptian slang word ''gallabīyah''. Martin Hartmann (9 December 1851, Breslau – 5 December 1918, Berlin) was a German orientalist, who specialized in Islamic studies. In 1875, he received his doctorate at the University of Leipzig as a student of Heinrich Leberecht Fleischer. From 1876 to 1887 he served as a dragoman at the German General Consulate in Beirut.
