Aetius (also spelled Aëtius; ; 390 – 454) was a Roman general and statesman of the closing period of the Western Roman Empire. He was a military commander and the most influential man in the Empire for two decades (433454). He managed policy in regard to the attacks of barbarian federates settled throughout the West. Ezio Gamba (born 2 December 1958) is a retired judoka from Italy, who represented his native country at four consecutive Summer Olympics (1976, 1980, 1984 and 1988). He claimed the gold medal in the men's lightweight division (– 71 kg) in 1980 by defeating Great Britain's Neil Adams. Ezio Vigorelli (17 August 1892 – 24 October 1964) was an Italian lawyer and politician who was a member of the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) and then of the Italian Democratic Socialist Party (PSDI). Ézio Leal Moraes Filho (May 15, 1966 – November 9, 2011), best known as Ézio or Super-Ézio, was a Brazilian football player in striker role. He was born in Ponte de Itabapoana (currently Mimoso do Sul). Ezio is a folk band from Cambridge, England, formed in 1990. They are named after their lead singer and main composer, Ezio Lunedei. ''Ezio'' is an opera eroica or "heroic" opera in 3 acts by Gaetano Latilla. The opera uses an Italian-language libretto by Pietro Metastasio. Metastasio's libretto was partly inspired by Jean Racine's play ''Britannicus'' and had earlier been set to music by George Frideric Handel in 1732. The work's protagonist is the fifth-century AD Roman general Flavius Aetius (Ezio in Italian), returned from his victory over Attila.
