Express FC
Express Football Club, abbreviated as Express, is a Ugandan football club from Kampala, the largest city and capital of Uganda. The club play their home games at the Muteesa II Wankulukuku Stadium. History Express FC is popularly referred to by the club fans as the Red Eagles and has also been known as the Express Sports Club. The club is one of the oldest football clubs in Uganda, having been founded in October 1957 by managers of the Uganda Express Newspapers. The main architect of the club's foundation was Jolly Joe Kiwanuka, the owner of the newspaper, who was ably supported by Paul Ssengendo, Hannington Kiwanuka, Dr. Banabas Kiwanuka, Gaster Nsubuga and Bishop Dr. Dunstan Nsubuga. The Red Eagles were among the first Ugandan clubs to use football boots and since the club was revived in 1979 they have ever been relegated from the top tier league. Muteesa II Stadium
Mutesa II Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kampala, Uganda. It is currently used mostly for football matches and serves as the home venue of Express FC of the Ugandan Super League. The stadium has a capacity of 20,200 people. SC Villa
Sports Club Villa is an association football club based in Uganda. Overview SC Villa had humble beginnings in 1975, playing under the name Nakivubo Boys. The club was renamed Nakivubo Villa in 1981. SC Villa won promotion to the top flight of Ugandan football in 1979 and is the most successful club in Ugandan football. They have won 16 Uganda Super League Titles, 9 Ugandan Cup Titles and 3 CECAFA Clubs Cup Titles. SC Villa was the first Ugandan club to clinch a local double in 1986. That record was extended to six "Doubles" in 2002. The Uganda Cup is Uganda's main national cup competition in football. This annual competition is open for member clubs of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations. The Uganda Cup is the second most prestigious competition in Uganda football. It is played on a knock out basis. This annual competition is open for non league sides, registered clubs playing in all the five football divisions (Div I, II, III, IV and V) of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Background The Uganda Cup was first held in 1971. The 2012–13 Ugandan Super League was the 46th season of the official Ugandan football championship, the top-level football league of Uganda. Overview For an eight-month period in the 2012–13 season, Uganda had two parallel leagues structures, the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) Super League, run by the national Federation, and the Uganda Super League which was managed by the Uganda Super League Limited (USLL). Bunamwaya SC
Vipers SC is a football club based in Kampala, Uganda. They are nicknamed the Venoms or Nyokas (Snakes in Kiswahili). History The club was founded as Bunamwaya FC in 1969. Vipers SC have played in the Uganda Premier League since 2006 after winning the Wakiso District and Super Mini League promotion league in 2005. They have finished in the top half of the table every year since the 2006–07 season. With the backing of president Lawrence Mulindwa, the club signed several important players for the 2010 season, including seven members of the Ugandan National Team at the time. Bunamwaya won their first ever Uganda Premier League title with two rounds to spare. They did not participate in the 2011 CAF Champions League for financial reasons.
