Exportbank Plaza, formerly known as Urban Bank Plaza, is an office skyscraper located in Makati, Philippines. It stands at , and is one of the tallest buildings in the country. The building has 36 floors above ground and 1 basement level for parking. Currently, Exportbank Plaza serves as the headquarters of Export and Industry Bank (Exportbank), which acquired the building after purchasing the assets of Urban Bank after that bank was shut down by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in 2000. Senator Gil J. Puyat Avenue, also known simply as Gil Puyat Avenue and formerly and still referred to as Buendia Avenue, is a major arterial thoroughfare which travels east–west through the cities of Makati and Pasay in western Metro Manila, Philippines. Chino Roces Avenue, formerly known as (and still commonly referred to as) Pasong Tamo, is a prominent north–south road in the cities of Makati and Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines It runs for from Olympia and Tejeros to Fort Bonifacio. Export and Industry Bank (EIB) (formerly ), also known as Exportbank, was a commercial bank in the Philippines. It acquired Urban Bank in 2001 after the former collapsed due to its closure by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. It formed in 1996 by the Lippo Group based in Hong Kong. It was placed under receivership by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) on April 27, 2012, after it was closed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas on the basis of being insolvent. Urban Bank (PSE: UBI), also known by its initials (and ticker symbol) UBI, was a middle-sized bank in the Philippines.
