Arthur Ernest Ewert (30 November 1890 – 3 July 1959) was a German communist political activist and functionary of the Communist International (Comintern). Ewert is best remembered as an official Comintern representative to the United States, China, Argentina, and Brazil during the late 1920s and 1930s. After being subjected to torture and sentenced to 13 years in prison for his political activity in Brazil, Ewert lost his sanity. He was granted amnesty in May 1945 and ultimately returned to East Germany, where he lived out the rest of his life in a series of medical facilities. In high school, she set numerous records and was the cross country OHSAA Division I individual state champion in 2019, representing Beavercreek High School. From 1973 to 2006, he served as a university professor (Chair of Zoology/Physiology) in the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Kassel, Germany. Jacob Gerhard Ewert (November 24, 1874 – March 16, 1923), also known as J. G. , was a Mennonite socialist and pacifist from Hillsboro, Kansas. From 1909 he was editor of the German-language newspaper ''Hillsboro Journal'', later renamed '' Vorwärts''. Ewert wrote books and pamphlets on socialism, on temperance, and on warfare. The historian Duane Sotltzfus described Ewert as a "tireless advocate for conscientious objectors, writing articles and counseling many draftees" when writing for ''Vorwärts''. ''Right to Die?'', also known as ''The Suicide Tourist'', is a documentary film directed by Canadian John Zaritsky about the assisted suicide of Craig Colby Ewert (1947–2006), a 59-year-old retired university professor who suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (sometimes known as Lou Gehrig's disease). Ewert, who lived in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England where assisted suicide is punishable by 14 years in jail, travelled to Switzerland where he was assisted by the Swiss NGO Dignitas at a rented Zurich apartment. The documentary, which covers the last four days of his life, shows him dying on 26 September 2006 with Mary, his wife of 37 years, at his side. Una Rebecca Ewert (born 11 January 1955) is a former New Zealand diver. She represented her country at two Commonwealth games and she was the first New Zealand diver to attend an Olympics. It was a Vernacular style building that featured elements of both the Federal and Greek Revival styles.
