Godhead, occasionally typeset as gODHEAD, is an American rock music, rock band from Washington, D.C. They were the only band signed to musician Marilyn Manson's short-lived vanity label, Posthuman Records. History The band was formed in 1994 under the early moniker Blind, but made their first performance as Godhead shortly after in Fairfax, Virginia that April. After fairly remaining in obscurity for a number of years, the band was noticed by Marilyn Manson and in 2000 signed a record contract with Manson, making them the first act of Posthuman Records. This deal culminated with the release of their breakthrough studio album in January 2001 entitled, ''2000 Years of Human Error'', which earned Godhead recognition by Ozzy Osbourne and landed them a spot on Ozzfest where the band headlined the second stage that same year. Reeves Gabrels (born June 4, 1956) is an American guitarist, songwriter and record producer. A member and guitarist of British band the Cure since 2012, Gabrels worked with David Bowie from 1987 to 1999, and was a member of the band Tin Machine. He has lived in New York, Boston, London, Los Angeles, Nashville, and New York's Hudson Valley. His Nashville-based band since 2007, Reeves Gabrels & His Imaginary Friends, features Gabrels on guitar and vocals. As a guitarist, Gabrels is recognized for his virtuosity and versatility, able to "explore sonic extremes with a great, adaptive intuition for what each song needs most." He has been characterized as "one of the most daring rock-guitar improvisers since Jimi Hendrix". As a songwriter and composer, Gabrels spans genres. Static-X is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1994. The line-up has fluctuated over the years, but was long-held constant with band founder, frontman, lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Wayne Static until his death in 2014. The band was founded by Wayne Static and original drummer Ken Jay. They rose to fame with their 1999 debut album '' Wisconsin Death Trip'' where their heavy industrial metal sound attracted attention within the burgeoning nu metal movement of the late 1990s, with the album eventually going platinum in the United States. Mike Miller (born May 8, 1953) is an American rock and jazz guitarist. He has worked with Chick Corea, Bette Midler, Yellowjackets (band), Yellowjackets, Brand X, Burton Cummings, Vinnie Colaiuta, Quincy Jones, Gino Vannelli, and Vital Information. Early life Miller was born into a musical family in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. ''2000 Years of Human Error'' is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Godhead. It was released on January 23, 2001 by Posthuman Records, making this one of Posthuman's only releases. The album contains select songs that have been re-recorded by the band, which previously appeared on 1998's '' Power Tool Stigmata''. "Sinking" has since been re-recorded for the subsequent release ''Unplugged''. The version of "Penetrate" featured on this album was also featured on the soundtrack to the 2002 movie ''Queen of the Damned''. ''2000 Years of Human Error'' spawned two singles, "The Reckoning" and the Beatles cover "Eleanor Rigby". It also had a music video largely consisting of vocalist Jason C.
