Evergrace
is a 2000 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware for the PlayStation 2 (PS2). It was published by Agetec as launch title for the PS2 in North America and was published in PAL territories by Ubisoft and Crave Entertainment. ''IGN'' gave some praise to the game for its innovations at the time, including its full use of the DualShock 2 controller's buttons and the unique "paper doll" system in which the player's avatar actually visibly wears the armor and clothing assigned to it. But the website said most aspects of the game were fairly "run-of-the-mill" without being egregiously bad. ''GameSpot'' criticized the game for its dated visuals and laggy gameplay during battles. Kota Hoshino
(born April 23, 1975) is a Japanese composer and sound designer. As part of FromSoftware's sound team, Hoshino is best known for composing multiple games in the ''Armored Core'' series and as the bassist and vocalist of FreQuency. Career Kota Hoshino was born in Tokyo, Japan on April 23, 1975, and studied at Surugadai University. Hoshino began working at FromSoftware in spring of 1998, feeling that his music would complement the games' visuals. His first role was composing music for ''Shadow Tower'' for the PlayStation. As the game uses very little music, many of Hoshino's contributions were unused, though some unused tracks were later used in '' Evergrace.'' The same year, he contributed music for ''Echo Night''. Story ''Forever Kingdom'' takes place directly before the events of ''Evergrace''. Darius lived a somewhat sheltered life with his parents in the small village of Solta. Though not having any siblings, Darius was very close to his friend Sharline, whom he cared for like a sister. is a 1998 role playing video game developed by FromSoftware for the PlayStation. The game was originally released in Japan on June 25, 1998 and in North America on November 19, 1999. In North America, the game was published by Agetec. ''Shadow Tower'' shares many similarities with the ''King's Field'' series of video games. A sequel, ''Shadow Tower Abyss'', was released for the PlayStation 2 exclusively in Japan. Gameplay ''Shadow Tower'' is an action-oriented dungeon crawl very similar to ''King's Field''. It features a first person style of gameplay where the player engages in combat with enemies, searches for hidden items and traps, and interacts with NPCs.
