Ever So Shy
Ever So Shy is the second General Fiasco single to be released through Infectious Records, from the debut album, Buildings. It was released as an EP on 14 March as a digital download through iTunes, and was then also released as a single on 15 March. It reached no.77 on the UK Charts, it is General Fiasco's best-selling single to date. It was featured in the end credits of Episode 5, Home Alone, from The Inbetweeners Series 3. The song also appeared during an episode of the TV show Jersey Shore, with emphasis on the lyrics, "let's get wasted, it's all we ever do". Music video The video for the song was directed by Adam Neustadter and was shot in New York. General Fiasco
General Fiasco are an indie rock group from Bellaghy, Northern Ireland. Since their formation in 2006, they have toured with Little Comets, Fighting With Wire, The Wombats, One Night Only, The Pigeon Detectives, The Enemy, Jet and Kids in Glass Houses. They released their debut album ''Buildings'' on 22 March 2010 on Infectious Records and released their second album '' Unfaithfully Yours'' on 30 July 2012 on Dirty Hit. History Touring and recording (2007–2010) In 2007, Owen Strathern and Stephen Leacock had been playing with The Tides and had already released an album due much critical acclaim. Leacock and Strathern hadn't enjoyed the music being played in the band and so the pair decided to form General Fiasco as an outlet for the pop rock they had desired to write. Owen's brother was brought in to play guitar alongside Leacock, with Shane Davey on the drums. Davey later moved to America and Leacock filled in as a temporary drummer but was not replaced since. The album appeared briefly at number 77 in the UK Albums Chart. Background and Recording Between 2009 and 2010, the band were constantly recording, and by mid-2009, they planned to release their debut album independently but the independent release was scrapped after being signed to Infectious Records in 2009, many songs that were re-recorded, the first of which was "We Are The Foolish" and was released as the band's first single's through Infectious Records. There were over 20 songs recorded for the album but only 12 made the cut. Omitted tracks included: "Sell Yourself," "Maybe I'm A Little Bit Strange," "I Like It When You're Naked," "Get Me," "Little Doors," "A Wise Decision," and "Desert Hearts."
