Önnereds HK
Önnereds HK is a handball club based in Gothenburg, Sweden. Around 60 teams are organized in the club. Since 1965, handball has been played in the Gothenburg district of Önnered. In 1985, the club was split into a football and a handball department. The handball club moved to the Älvsborg district. In 1992, the ÖHK-hallen was built, which has been the club's home ground since then and now hold up to 1000 spectators. In addition to the large hall, the club also has two smaller ones. The women's team played in the top Swedish division, the Elitserien, in the 2009/10 season. After being relegated in Summer 2010, they compete in the Allsvenskan. From 2013 to 2016, the team appeared again in the Elitserien. After a season in the Allsvenskan, the women's team were promoted once again. Höörs HK H 65 is a Swedish women's handball club from Höör established in 1965, competing in the Swedish women's handball league, Handbollsligan, since 2011. In 2014 the team won the 2013–14 EHF Challenge Cup. History In 2011–2012, the team accessed to the Elitserien, the highest level in Sweden. In 2012–2013, the team takes part to the playoffs, eliminated by IK Sävehof in semifinals. They also reach the semifinals in the 2012–13 EHF Challenge Cup, beaten by Croatian team, ZRK Fantasyland Samobor. In 2013–2014, they won their first European title, the 2013–14 EHF Challenge Cup, defeating Issy-Paris Hand. Svensk Handbollselit
Svensk handbollselit is the highest division of women's handball in Sweden. The inaugural Elitserien season took place in 1951, with Kvinnliga IK Sport winning the championship. The league currently consists of 12 teams. The eight top teams at the end of every season continue to the playoffs, in which the quarterfinals and semifinals are played as a best-of-five series, unlike the final which is played as a single match. The champion is awarded a spot in the EHF Women's Champions League's qualification stage. Historically, the women's Elitserien was dominated by IK Sävehof, with 15 championships. For the 2016-2017 season, the series changed name to "Svensk handbollselit".
