Evangelina Cosio y Cisneros (September 23, 1877 – April 29, 1970) was the focus of events that played out in the years 1896–1898 during the Cuban War of Independence. Gloria Evangelina Elizondo López-Llera (28 April 1929 – 2 October 2017) was a Mexican actress and singer from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. She starred in movies, television and theater. Evangelina Vigil-Piñón is a Chicana poet, children's book author, director, translator, and television personality. Life Her mother's family emigrated to Texas in the early 1900s from Parras, Mexico. Evangelina Villegas (October 24, 1924 – April 24, 2017) was a Mexican cereal biochemist whose work with maize led to the development of quality protein maize (QPM). She and her colleague from the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center ( CIMMYT), Surinder Vasal, shared the 2000 World Food Prize for this achievement. Evangelina Carrozzo (born 1980) is an Argentine model, beauty queen and dancer. She gained international attention for her actions during an international Presidential summit held on May 12, 2006. Childhood Evangelina Carrozzo grew up in Gualeguaychú, Entre Ríos, Argentina (a town that borders with Uruguay). Evangelina Oyo Ebule is an Equatorial Guinean politician currently serving as the country's Minister of Justice, Worship and Penitentiary Institutions.
