Evan Taubenfeld
Evan David Taubenfeld (born June 27, 1983) is an American singer and musician, best known for being Avril Lavigne's lead guitarist, music director and frequent collaborator. Taubenfeld's debut album, '' Welcome to the Blacklist Club'', was released in 2010. Early life Taubenfeld was born in Baltimore, Maryland, to Mark and Ami Taubenfeld, who ran a catering business. He has two siblings, a younger brother named Drew (b. 1984), who is a multi-instrumentalist and musical director for Kacey Musgraves, and a younger sister, Annie (b. 1990). Taubenfeld graduated from McDonogh School in 2001. Taubenfeld had an early interest in music and took an interest at the piano at home as a toddler. Matt Halpern (born June 21, 1983) is an American drummer best known for his work with progressive metal band Periphery. Biography Born in Baltimore, Halpern took an interest in music at a young age and got his first kids drum set aged 3, before switching to a full-sized one at 6 and taking private drum lessons. At a young age, he started to perform extensively throughout the northeast of the United States on a weekly basis. When he was 17 he formed Spinfire with his friend Evan Taubenfeld and released an eponymous EP. Throughout college Halpern sustained himself by teaching drums and performing in local bar gigs. Matt Brann (born 14 November 1980) is a Canadian drummer, mainly known for his work with Avril Lavigne. Career He started playing drums when he was 12, but it wasn't until when he attended Exeter High School that he started to play in a band called Second Opinion along with a few school friends (including Jason McCaslin, who would later go on to become the bassist of Canadian rock band Sum 41) at the age of 14. They played together for about 5 years around their local town and outside of Toronto, Ontario. When he was about 19 he joined another band from Toronto called Norman, but Brann quit after about a year as they never really got along.
