Evan John Bruinsma (born September 9, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for ONVO Büyükçekmece of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). Bruinsma usually plays as power forward. Professional career Donar (2017–2018) On July 20, 2017, Donar of the Dutch Basketball League (DBL) signed Bruinsma to a 1-year contract. On November 16, 2017, Bruinsma was named the FIBA Europe Cup Top Performer of Round 4 after scoring 34 points and grabbing 10 rebounds to go for an index rating of 40, in a 94–56 win against Bosnian side Bosna. On November 16, Bruinsma was named Top Performer of the FIBA Europe Cup for the second time in the 2017–18 season. Donar, also known as Donar Groningen, is a professional basketball club based in Groningen, Netherlands. The club competes in the BNXT League and its home arena is MartiniPlaza, which has a seating capacity of 4,350 people. The Nemzeti Bajnokság I/A ( en, National Championship I/A, commonly abbreviated NB I/A) is the highest level league of club men's basketball in Hungary. Format The league comprises 14 teams. A NB I/A season is split into a league stage and a playoff/playout stage. NBB Cup
The Basketball Cup, formerly the NBB Cup ( nl, NBB-Beker), is an annual cup competition for Dutch basketball teams organised by the Basketball Nederland. Every team in the Netherlands can participate by signing up for the preliminary rounds. Professional basketball teams from the Dutch Basketball League (DBL) enter the tournament in the fourth round. From 1977 until 1990 professional teams were not allowed to participate in the competition. The tournament is organized in a knock-out format, with quarter- and semi-finals being two-legged series while the final is played in a single game. The Dutch Basketball League (DBL), formerly the Eredivisie, was the highest professional basketball league in the Netherlands, run by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB).
