Evagoras Papasavvas
Evagoras Papasavvas (born December 25, 2007) is an American racing driver. He most recently competed in the 2023 USF2000 Championship driving for Jay Howard Driver Development. Racing career USF2000 2022 On November 30, 2021, it was announced that Papasavvas would make his debut in single seaters in the 2022 U.S. F2000 National Championship driving for Jay Howard Driver Development. Due to an injury sustained racing karts, he had to miss the first half of the season. Papasavvas would make his debut at the ninth round held at Road America, but would retire during the race. He would finish 23rd in the standings. 2023 In late 2022, it was announced that Papasavvas would race in the 2023 USF2000 Championship once again with Jay Howard Driver Development. He would receive his maiden podium in the series at the first race held at St. Petersburg. 2023 USF2000 Championship
The 2023 USF2000 Championship presented by Cooper Tires was the fourteenth season of the USF2000 Championship since its revival in 2010. When the top rung of the Road to Indy ladder system, Indy Lights, was bought by Penske Entertainment (owners of IndyCar) in 2021 and the lower level series changed sanctioning to the United States Auto Club, changes were made to the other championships in the ladder. This, together with the Indy Lights being rebranded to Indy NXT, effectively ended the "Road to Indy" branding, with the three championships below Indy NXT now collectively called "USF Pro Championships Presented by Cooper Tires". The USF2000 Championship served as the middle rung of this ladder. Simon Sikes won the Drivers' Championship at the final race weekend at Portland with two races to spare. Portland International Raceway (PIR) is a motorsport facility in Portland in the U.S. state of Oregon. It is part of the Delta Park complex on the former site of Vanport, just south of the Columbia River. It lies west of the Delta Park/Vanport light rail station and less than a mile west of Interstate 5. The Grand Prix of Toronto (known for sponsorship reasons as the Honda Indy Toronto) is an annual Indy Car race, held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
