Euston Films
Euston Films is a British film and television production company. It was originally a subsidiary company of Thames Television, and operated from 1971 to 1994, producing various series for Thames, which were screened nationally on the ITV network. The most famous Euston Films productions include ''Van der Valk'' (1973), ''The Sweeney'' (1975–1978), ''Minder'' (1979–1994), ''Quatermass'' (1979), ''Danger UXB'' (1979), and ''Reilly, Ace of Spies'' (1983). ''The Sweeney'' had two feature film spin-offs, ''Sweeney!'' and ''Sweeney 2'', which were also produced by Euston. Hammersmith is a district of West London, England, southwest of Charing Cross. St Paul's Juniors (formerly Colet Court) is an independent preparatory school for boys aged 7 to 13 in Barnes, London. It forms the preparatory department of St Paul's School, to which most Juniors pupils progress at the age of 13. Film4 Productions is a British film production company owned by Channel Four Television Corporation. The company has been responsible for backing many films made in the United Kingdom. In the motion picture industry, a star vehicle (or simply vehicle) is a film written or produced for a specific star, regardless of whether the motive is to further their career or simply to profit from their current popularity. It is designed to optimally display that star's particular talents or personal appeal. The term is also applied to stage plays and television programs. In some cases, a performer may produce their own star vehicle as self-promotion or a vanity project. Consisting of thirteen episodes, it recounted the lives of the titular Fox family, who lived in Clapham in South London and had gangland connections.
