Maxim Podoprigora (born April 18, 1978 in Kiev, Ukraine) is an Olympic breaststroke swimmer from Austria. He has swum for Austria at three Olympics (2000, 2004 and 2008) swimming the 200 breaststroke at all three and the 100 breaststroke in 2004. He swims for Vienna Swim Club (ASV Wien) and studied at the University of Vienna. He serves in the Austrian Army. His primary event is the 200 breaststroke. James Gibson (swimmer)
James Gibson, MBE is an English former competitive swimmer and breaststroke who represented Great Britain in the Olympics, FINA world championships and European championships, and England in the Commonwealth Games. He is a former world, European and Commonwealth champion in the men's 50-metre breaststroke event, and now serves as the head swimming coach at the Energy Standard Swim Club. __NOTOC__ Born in Chelmsford, Essex, and raised in Witham. He first started swimming at Witham Dolphins swimming club in Essex and is now the clubs lifelong president, Gibson's primary swimming stroke is the breaststroke and he competed in the 50-, 100- and 200-metre events. Darren Mew (born 12 December 1979) is a British swimmer specialising in breaststroke. He is a member of Ellesmere College Titans and studied sport as a student at the University of Bath. He has competed in two consecutive Summer Olympics for Great Britain, starting in 2000. Mark Warnecke (born 15 February 1970 in Bochum, North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German former breaststroke swimmer who, at age 35, won the world title in the 50 m breaststroke at the 2005 World Aquatics Championships in Montreal. That made him the oldest swimming world champion since 1971. He started for the German swimming club SG Essen. He competed in four consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country, starting in 1988 in Seoul, South Korea, where he was a member of the 4×100 m medley relay team, that finished in fourth position. Oleh Lisohor (born 17 January 1979 in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, Soviet Union) is a Ukrainian swimmer. Career Lisohor is the former world record holder in the 50 metres breaststroke, long course, with 27.18 seconds. The record was set in Berlin on 2 August 2002. Lisohor is also the former record holder over 50 metres breaststroke (short course). He took part in three Olympic Games. He won two world titles in the 50 m breaststroke, in 2001 and 2007. Yoav Gath ( he, יואב גת; born November 8, 1980) is an Olympic and national-record backstroke swimmer from Israel. He swam for Israel at the 2000 Olympics. Biography Yoav Gath was born in Haifa. He trained at Hapoel Kiryat-Tivon swimming club coached by Andre Tot. At age 15 he relocated to the Academy for Sport Excellence at the Wingate Institute, coached by Leonid Kaufman and joined Hapoel Jerusalem swimming club. Yoav won gold 1995 at the European Youth Olympics in Bath in the men's 200-meter backstroke with a time of 2:07.65. During his sporting career, Gordan achieved numerous successes some of them are: US (1998), Europe (2000, 2001, 2002) and World (2000) swimming championship titles, and breaking European (100m backstroke) and World (200m backstroke World record progression 200 metres backstroke) short course swimming records.
