Euronat Members
EuroNat was an organisation of European ultranationalist political parties, formed initially at the congress of the French National Front (FN) in Strasbourg on 30 March 1997.Mareš, 2006, p. 11. It had a loose organisational structure, and was in practice based on coordination by activities of the FN. The organisation failed to attract much support in Western Europe, as FN leader Jean-Marie Le Pen was more successful in gathering support in Eastern Europe. NordNat was an attempt to form a regional organisation by Nordic parties. As of the late 2000s, only the FN, BNP, ND, MS-FT, DN and NR parties were listed as members of EuroNat. In a joint declaration, the founders of EuroNat expressed, among other things, the view that a "reborn" Europe "should be built with the European nations based on civilizations rooted in Greek, Celtic, Germanic, Latin and Christian traditions." Jean-Marie Le Pen
Jean Louis Marie Le Pen (, born 20 June 1928) is a French far-right politician who served as President of the National Front from 1972 to 2011. He also served as Honorary President of the National Front from 2011 to 2015. Le Pen graduated from the faculty of law in Paris in 1949. After his time in the military, he studied political science and law at Panthéon-Assas University. Le Pen focuses on issues related to immigration to France, the European Union, traditional culture and values, law and order, and France's high rate of unemployment. Hungarian Justice And Life Party
The Hungarian Justice and Life Party ( hu, Magyar Igazság és Élet Pártja, MIÉP) was a nationalist political party in Hungary that was founded by István Csurka in 1993. In the 1998 legislative elections, the party won 5.5% of the votes and gained parliamentary representation, with 14 seats. In the 2002 elections, the party won 4.4% of the popular vote and no seats. In 2005, MIÉP joined forces with a newer, radical Hungarian nationalist political party, Jobbik. The new political formation was registered under the name the MIÉP–Jobbik Third Way Alliance of Parties. It purported to speak for Christians whilst standing up for the rights of Hungarian minorities in the neighbouring countries. Hellenic Front
The Hellenic Front ( el, Ελληνικό Μέτωπο) was a Greek political party with an ultranationalist platform, founded in 1994. Its declared ''raison d'être'' was to raise national conscience and inspire freedom, creativity, and development by reversing what it sees as dependence on foreign economies and ideas. It advocated creation of a “National Opposition Front” to build an effective and credible alternative to the current two-party system. On social matters, the party has supported populist policies such as the re-introduction of the death penalty (long abolished in Greece), specifically as a sentence for drug dealers. The German People's Union (german: Deutsche Volksunion, DVU, also ''Liste D'') was a political party in Germany. It was founded by publisher Gerhard Frey as an informal association in 1971 and established as a party in 1987. Financially, it was largely dependent on Frey. In 2011, it merged with the National Democratic Party of Germany (NPD). The party never reached the five-percent minimum in federal elections that is generally necessary to enter the Bundestag. Patriotic People's Movement ( fi, Isänmaallinen kansanliike, IKL, sv, Fosterländska folkrörelsen) was a Finnish nationalist and anti-communist political party. NordNat
NordNat was an association of nationalist parties, founded in Malmö on 8 June 1997, in an attempt to unite Nordic countries, Nordic nationalism, nationalist parties. The main initiator was the Sweden Democrats, which were then also a member of the wider Euronat, EuroNat together with the Finnish Patriotic People's Movement (1993), Patriotic People's Movement. The parties regarded themselves as "national democratic", and established a charter which set to work for protection of national sovereignty, the environment, the Nordic culture and people, and to oppose mass immigration. According to a Council of Europe report, the Swedish and Finnish parties were "conventional nationalist parties", while the Norwegian and Danish ones were "neo-nazi groupings".
