Eura is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Satakunta region. The municipality of Kiukainen was consolidated with Eura on 1 January 2009. The municipality is one of the most distinguished places in Finland in terms of pre-historical findings. The archaeological findings are mainly from the Iron Age and include e.g. ancient dress "''Euran Emännän Puku''". Local tradition had it still in the 18th century that a decisive battle against invading Sweden was held in Eura's Big Meadow (''Iso Niitty'') in the Middle Ages. Kiukainen ( sv, Kiukais) is a former municipality of Finland. It was consolidated with Eura on 1 January 2009. It is located in the Satakunta region. The municipality had a population of 3,408 (2003) and covered an area of 149.88 km² of which 0.22 km² is water. The population density was 22.7 inhabitants per km². In Kiukainen there are many ancient gravehills made from piled stones. Largest of them is called Kuninkaanhauta, "the king's grave", located in the Panelia village. A sister city or a twin town relationship is a form of legal or social agreement between two geographically and politically distinct localities for the purpose of promoting cultural and commercial ties. The Finns Party, formerly known as the True Finns ( fi, Perussuomalaiset, PS, sv, Sannfinländarna, Sannf.), is a right-wing populist political party in Finland. It was founded in 1995 following the dissolution of the Finnish Rural Party. 2011 Finnish Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Finland on 17 April 2011 after the termination of the previous parliamentary term. Advance voting, which included voting by Finnish expatriates, was held between 6 and 12 April with a turnout of 31.2%. The importance of the election was magnified due to Finland's capacity to influence the European Union's decision in regard to affecting a bailout for Portugal via the European Financial Stability Facility, as part of financial support systems for debt-laden European countries, and the fall of the Portuguese government.
