Eumemmerring is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 32 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Casey local government area. Eumemmerring recorded a population of 2,285 at the 2021 census. The suburb of Eumemmerring is part of the City of Casey, which is currently the fastest growing council and city in Victoria. Eumemmerring is a small hill, offering some well located homes a view of the Endeavour Hills landscape and part of the Dandenong Ranges. Electoral District Of Dandenong
The electoral district of Dandenong is an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. It was first proclaimed in 1904 when the district of Dandenong and Berwick was abolished. The district is located within the outskirts of Melbourne's south-east, containing both residential and industrial areas, as well as the Armada Dandenong Plaza and Churchill National Park. A very multicultural district, it has been a safe Labor seat since the 1970s. Dandenong Ranges
The Dandenong Ranges (commonly just The Dandenongs) are a set of low mountain ranges, rising to 633 metres at Mount Dandenong, approximately east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The ranges consist mostly of rolling hills, steeply weathered valleys and gullies covered in thick temperate rainforest, predominantly of tall mountain ash trees and dense ferny undergrowth. After European settlement in the region, the range was used as a major local source of timber for Melbourne. The ranges were popular with day-trippers from the 1870s onwards. Much of the Dandenongs were protected by parklands as early as 1882 and by 1987 these parklands were amalgamated to form the Dandenong Ranges National Park, which was subsequently expanded in 1997. City Of Berwick
The City of Berwick was a local government area about southeast of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The city covered an area of , and existed from 1973 until 1994. History The area which came under the City of Berwick had previously been the Berwick and Doveton ridings of the Shire of Berwick. Monash Freeway
The Monash Freeway is a major urban freeway in Victoria, Australia, linking Melbourne's CBD to its south-eastern suburbs and beyond to the Gippsland region. Princess Highway
Princes Highway is a major road in Australia, extending from Sydney via Melbourne to Adelaide through the states of New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. It has a length of (along Highway 1) or via the former alignments of the highway, although these routes are slower and connections to the bypassed sections of the original route are poor in many cases. The highway follows the coastline for most of its length, and thus takes quite an indirect and lengthy route. South Gippsland Freeway is a short freeway linking Dandenong in Melbourne's south–east to other south–eastern destinations, including the Mornington Peninsula and the Gippsland region. The freeway bears the designation M420. Route South Gippsland Freeway starts at the interchange with Monash Freeway in Endeavour Hills and runs south as a four-lane, dual-carriageway route, under the Princes Highway at Eumemmering, over the Pakenham railway line, then along the western border Hampton Park until it ends at the interchange with the South Gippsland and Western Port Highways in Lynbrook. Pakenham Railway Line
The Pakenham line is a commuter railway line in the city of Melbourne, Victoria. Operated by Metro Trains Melbourne, it is the longest metropolitan railway line at 57 km (35.42 mi). Coloured light blue on the Melbourne rail map, the line runs from Flinders Street station in central Melbourne to Pakenham station in the south-east, serving 27 stations via the City Loop, South Yarra, Caulfield, Oakleigh, and Dandenong. The line operates for ~20 hours a day (from approximately 4:00 am to around midnight) with 24 hour service available on Friday nights and weekends. Armada Dandenong Plaza is a major-regional shopping centre located in the heart of Dandenong built adjoining Myer Dandenong in 1989. Myer originally opened in Dandenong on November 4, 1974 as a four-level, standalone department store. It is approximately 30 kilometres south-east of the Melbourne CBD.
