Eugen Pojoni
Eugen Pojoni (also known as Jenő Pozsonyi; born 1 January 1942) is a Romanian former football defender. Career Eugen Pojoni was born on 1 January 1942 in Ibănești, Mureș, Romania and as a child he met his father when he was 5 years old who was a prisoner of the Russians in World War II, later in 1955 his parents took him on the Reghin Municipal Stadium to see the Divizia A match between Avântul Reghin and UTA Arad where he was impressed by UTA's style of play led by József Pecsovszky, thus becoming a fan of the team, hoping to play for it one day. He started to play for the junior squads of Avântul, then he started to play for the senior team in the lower leagues. He was noticed by Romania's under 18 national team coach Gheorghe Ola who called him up to play at the 1961 European Under-18 Championship held in Portugal where the team did not pass the group stage. Ibănești, Mureș
Ibănești ( hu, Libánfalva, Hungarian pronunciation: ) is a commune in Mureș County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of ten villages: Blidireasa (''Blidirászaházcsoport''), Brădețelu (''Disznópatak''), Dulcea (''Dulcsa''), Ibănești, Ibănești-Pădure (''Erdőlibánfalva''), Lăpușna (''Laposnyatelep''), Pârâu Mare (''Sziródrész''), Tireu (''Tyiró''), Tisieu (''Tyiszó'') and Zimți (''Zimc''). The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07. It is currently Sponsor (commercial), sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. Angelo Niculescu (1 October 1921 – 20 June 2015) was a Romanian football player and manager. He was the coach of the Romania national football team during the 1970 FIFA World Cup. He is best remembered in Romania for inventing the "temporizare" ("delaying") tactics in which the team keeps the possession of the ball inside its own half and the players are using many short passes from one side to another of the field in order to disrupt the opponents patience when they go out of their field to make pressing; this is also known as tiki-taka. The 1971–72 UEFA Cup was the inaugural year of the UEFA Cup (now known as the UEFA Europa League), which effectively replaced the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup. Nicolae "Coco" Dumitrescu (8 December 1921 – 17 March 1999) was a Romanian footballer and manager.
