Etiler Anadolu Lisesi
Etiler Anatolian High School ( tr, Etiler Anadolu Lisesi) is a high school located in the Etiler neighborhood of Beşiktaş, Istanbul, Turkey. In the 1961-1962 school year a girls' junior high school, Levent Girls Middle School ( tr, Levent Kız Ortaokulu), was established. In the winter vacation of 1968 the school became a high school moved to a new building, so it became the Levent High School ( tr, Levent Lisesi). It was given its current name on 7 January 1981. ( ). Etiler
Etiler is a neighbourhood on the European side of Istanbul, Turkey, in the district of Beşiktaş, close to the business quarters of Levent and Maslak. Etiler is famous for its upmarket cafés, pubs, night clubs, restaurants, gyms, coiffeurs, fashion shops and shopping malls, such as Akmerkez. It is a favourite area among Istanbul's elite. The quarter also has many villas and private residences. The name ''Etiler'' is an older name in Turkish for the ''Hittites'', as it was fashionable in the early years of the Turkish Republic to give the names of ancient Anatolian civilizations to the new districts of Istanbul. A similar example is the neighbouring quarter of ''Akatlar'', which means ''Akkads'', another ancient civilization from the history of Anatolia. Beşiktaş () is a district and municipality of Istanbul, Turkey, located on the European shore of the Bosphorus strait. It is bordered on the north by Sarıyer and Şişli, on the west by Kağıthane and Şişli, on the south by Beyoğlu, and on the east by the Bosphorus.
