Ethnikos Asteras F.C. ( el, Γ.Α.Ο. Εθνικός Aστέρας, the ''National Star'') is a professional football club based in Kaisariani, Athens, Greece. History The club, originally named ''Ethnikos Astir,'' was founded in 1927 from the merger of Ethnikos and Asteras Kaisariani. They participated in the Greek first division from 1998 until 2002. Ethnikos Asteras is also known as Asteras FC a name related to the Warriors, Kaisariani's ultra supporters club. The club's colors are red and white. Kaisariani ( el, Καισαριανή) is a suburb and a municipality in the eastern part of the Athens agglomeration in Greece. Geography Kaisariani is located about southeast of Athens city centre, and of the Acropolis of Athens. The municipality has an area of 7.841 km2. Petros Marinakis ( el, Πέτρος Μαρινάκης; born 16 December 1968) is a Greek retired footballer. During a 13-year career, Marinakis made over 300 league appearances, scoring more than 40 goals, in the Greek top division. He spent two seasons playing for Olympiacos in the Greek Super League. Marinakis also had a brief spell in Spanish football with Sevilla, but he did not figure in manager José Antonio Camacho's plans and left after just six months with the club. Nikos Alefantos
Nikos Alefantos ( el, Νίκος Αλέφαντος, 3 January 1939 – 23 June 2020) was a Greek professional footballer and football coach. Career Alefantos managed several clubs in the Greek Super League, including Olympiacos during 2004. He also had brief spells leading AEL in 1975 and 1990. Alefantos gained notoriety for his unusually short tenure as the manager of Fostiras in 2002. He was appointed manager of the club, replacing Vlachos in September 2002. One of Fostira's players, Dimitrios Moutas, immediately refused to train with Alefantos, and then Alefantos resigned later that day after failed contract negotiations. Eventually Alefantos appeared in ART channel of Greece, participating in a sport TV program called "Dokari Kai mesa" presented by Giannis Karatzaferis. Spyros Livathinos
Spyros Livathinos ( el, Σπύρος Λιβαθηνός; born 8 January 1955) is a former football player who played as a midfielder, coach and current scout of Panathinaikos. Career Born in Patras, Livathinos started his football career in the Panathinaikos youth system. In 1975, he made it to the greens' first team where he played a total of 267 league games in 10 seasons, winning three Alpha Ethniki and four Greek Football Cup titles. Livathinos then moved on to Cyprus where he became player/coach of Pezoporikos. In 1988, he led the Larnaca club to the championship of Cyprus and retired as a player. Livathinos made 27 appearances and scored one goal for the Greece national football team. He continued his coaching career guiding Ethnikos Asteras to the championship of the Greek B Division.
