Estadio do Clube Desportivo Trofense is a multi-use stadium in Trofa, Portugal. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of C.D. Trofense. The stadium has a seating capacity of 5,074. The stadium was built on the 24 December 1950. It underwent many renovations during the year 2008, when Clube Desportivo Trofense gained promotion to the Primeira Liga from the Liga de Honra for the first time in their history. Trofa () is a municipality in the north of the Porto metropolitan area in Portugal, 18 km from central Porto. The population in 2011 was 38,999, in an area of 72.02 km². Trofa has a strong industrial park, with various types of industry including pharmaceutical, metalworking and textile industries. The Liga Portugal 2 (), also known as Liga Portugal 2 SABSEG for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest division of the Portuguese football league system. At the end of each season, the two top-finishing teams are promoted to the top-tier Primeira Liga and the two lowest-ranked teams are relegated to the third-tier league. The Liga Portugal (Portugal League), also known by its acronym LPFP, is a governing body that manages professional football club competitions in Portugal.
