Estuardo Núñez Hague
Estuardo Núñez Hague (5 September 1908 – 29 August 2013) was a Peruvian writer, literary critic, historian and university professor. He was considered to be the “founder of modern poetry in Peru." Biography Estuardo Núñez was born in Chorrillos in 1908, although he later moved to the nearby Barranco. He was the son of Colonel Maximiliano Núñez Delgado de la Flor and Rosa Hague. At the age of five he began to learn to read on an Underwood Typewriter, using it to recognize and then type the letters of the alphabet. He studied at the local German-language school, where he was classmates with Martín Adán. Throughout his school years, he frequented intellectual environments and eventually met poet José María Eguren and José Carlos Mariategui, who encouraged him to begin writing. Andrés Bello
Andrés de Jesús María y José Bello López (; November 29, 1781 – October 15, 1865) was a Venezuelan- Chilean humanist, diplomat, poet, legislator, philosopher, educator and philologist, whose political and literary works constitute an important part of Spanish American culture. Bello is featured on the old 2,000 Venezuelan bolívar and the 20,000 Chilean peso notes. In Caracas, where he was born, Andrés Bello was Simón Bolívar's teacher for a short period of time and participated in the process that led to Venezuelan independence. As a diplomat for the new independent government that he helped establish, he went with Luis López Méndez and Simón Bolívar on their first diplomatic mission to London. Peruvian Literature
The term Peruvian literature not only refers to literature produced in the independent Republic of Peru, but also to literature produced in the Viceroyalty of Peru during the country's colonial period, and to oral artistic forms created by diverse ethnic groups that existed in the area during the prehispanic period, such as the Quechua, the Aymara and the Chanka South American native groups. Pre-Hispanic oral tradition The artistic production of the pre-Hispanic period, especially art produced under the Incan Empire, is largely unknown. Literature produced in the central- Andean region of modern-day Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia and Chile, is thought to have been transmitted orally alone, though the quipu of the Inka and earlier Andean civilizations increasingly casts this into doubt.
