Esther Rots
Esther Rots (born 23 May 1972) is a Dutch film director. Rots made her debut with the 2009 feature film ''Can Go Through Skin'' (''Kan door huid heen'') for which she won the Golden Calf for Best Montage award at the 2009 Netherlands Film Festival. The whole team behind the film also won the Golden Calf Special Jury Prize and Rifka Lodeizen won the Golden Calf for Best Actress for her role in the film. The Berlin International Film Festival (german: Internationale Filmfestspiele Berlin), usually called the Berlinale (), is a major international film festival held annually in Berlin, Germany. Founded in 1951 and originally run in June, the festival has been held every February since 1978 and is one of the " Big Three" alongside the Venice Film Festival in Italy and the Cannes Film Festival in France. Groenlo
Groenlo () is a city in the municipality of Oost Gelre, situated in the eastern part of the Netherlands, on the German border, within a region in the province of Gelderland called the Achterhoek (literally: "back corner"). Groenlo was a municipality until 1 January 2005, when it merged with Lichtenvoorde. Until 19 May 2006 Groenlo was the official name of Oost Gelre. As of 1 January 2006 Groenlo, including its hamlet Zwolle, counted a population of 10,067. Groenlo is known locally and historically as Grolle, Groll or Grol. Netherlands Film Festival
The Netherlands Film Festival ( nl, Nederlands Film Festival) is an annual film festival, held in September and October of each year in the city of Utrecht. During the ten-day festival, Dutch film productions and co-productions are exhibited. Besides feature films, the program also consists of short subjects, documentary films, and television productions. Rifka Lodeizen (born 16 October 1972) is a Dutch actress. Career Lodeizen made her debut with a small role in the 1991 film ''The Province''. She was discovered by film director Eddy Terstall and she played a role in his 1996 film '' Hufters & hofdames''. Lodeizen won the Golden Calf for Best Actress award at the 2009 Netherlands Film Festival for her role in the film ''Can Go Through Skin'' directed by Esther Rots. She also won the Golden Calf for Best Actress in a Television Drama award in 2012 for her role in the television series ''Overspel'' by Frank Ketelaar.
