Virgilio Tejeira Andrión is the name of the person whom donated the lands for the constructions of the stadium. On July 4, 2001, the FEPAFUT was authorized by FIFA to build a stadium as part of the ''Goal Project'' after the national U-20 Squad qualified for the first time to the 2003 FIFA Youth World being held in the United Arab Emirates. The funding came from FIFA and the FIFA Financial Assistance Programme who donated $400,000 and $142,313 respectively. The Panamanian Government donated the land on which the stadium would be constructed in Penonomé. On February 23, 2003, Jack Warner inaugurated the stadium. The Panama national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Panamá) represents Panama in men's international football and is governed by the Panamanian Football Federation. The team represents all three FIFA, CONCACAF and the regional UNCAF. Estadio Agustín ''Muquita'' Sánchez is a football stadium in Panamá Oeste Province, Panama which hosts Liga Panameña de Fútbol teams San Francisco and Independiente, as well as other teams and local competitions from the La Chorrera district. Formerly the stadium had slightly smaller dimensions and natural turf, but it was still used for ANAPROF games. In 2008, a joint effort from the Panamanian government and the national sport institute (INDE) spent $1,997,192 in installing artificial turf to the field, increase its dimensions to 105×68 m, seating capacity and also adding a better lighting system. Austin "Jack" Warner (born 26 January 1943) is a Trinidadian and Tobagonian politician, businessman, and former football executive. Warner was Vice President of FIFA and President of CONCACAF until his suspension and eventual resignation from these roles in 2011. Atlético Veragüense is a Panamanian football team playing in the Liga Panameña de Fútbol. It is based in Santiago de Veraguas in Veraguas province. Its home stadium is Estadio Aristocles Castillo.
