Estadio Pedro Escartín
Estadio Pedro Escartín is a multi-use stadium in Guadalajara, Spain. It is currently used mostly for football matches and serves as the home stadium of CD Guadalajara of the Segunda División. The stadium holds 8,000 spectators and opened in 1967. The stadium is named after Pedro Escartín. Guadalajara (, ) is a city and municipality in Spain, located in the autonomous community of Castilla–La Mancha. It is the capital of the Province of Guadalajara. Club Deportivo Guadalajara, S.A.D. is a Spanish football club based in Guadalajara, in the autonomous community of Castilla–La Mancha. Pedro Escartín
Pedro Escartín Morán (8 August 1902 – 21 May 1998) was a Spanish football player, referee, coach, journalist and author. He was an international referee from 1928 to 1948, and a member of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee for 27 years. He also went on to manage the Spain national football team in two different tenures. He was also a journalist in Spain for most of his life, and is a well-respected figure of the sport in Spain in the 20th century. Career as referee Born in Madrid, Spain, Escartin played as a youngster at the club ''Real Sociedad Gimnástica Española'' during the beginnings of professionalism in Spanish football. The Spain women's national rugby union team played their first match on 2 May 1989, against France, losing 0-28. The team played the Women's Six Nations from 2000 to 2006, but they were replaced by Italy for 2007, in order to mirror the men's tournament.
