Estadio Ka'arendy
Estadio Ka'arendy, previously known as Estadio Leandro Ovelar, is a football stadium in Paraguay that is located in the downtown area of the city of Dr. Juan León Mallorquín, about 650 meters north of route PY02. After its renovation in 2022 it has an capacity of 10,120 seats. It is the home venue of Primera División club, General Caballero. Name changing In April 2021, the club's board of directors ordered the new nomination of its sports arena as "Estadio Ka'arendy". The decision was made unanimously at the extraordinary meeting. Ka'arendy is the previous name of the town, a name that continues in the memory of its inhabitants. Club General Bernardino Caballero, commonly known as General Caballero JLM, is a Paraguayan football club based in Juan León Mallorquín, Alto Paraná. The club plays in the Primera División, the top tier of the Paraguayan football league starting from 2022 after winning the División Intermedia in the 2021 season, and hold their home games at the Estadio Ka'arendy which has a capacity of 10,120 people. Alto Paraná (; ''Upper Paraná'') is a department in Paraguay. The capital is Ciudad del Este (formerly known as Puerto Presidente Stroessner, originally Puerto Flor de Lis). The Alto Paraná department has experienced tremendous economic and population growth in the past 50 years. Most of this growth has been concentrated in the department capital of Ciudad del Este, and mainly occurred after the construction of the Puente de la Amistad bridge in 1961, which connects Paraguay and Brazil.
