Club General Bernardino Caballero, commonly known as General Caballero JLM, is a Paraguayan football club based in Juan León Mallorquín, Alto Paraná. The club plays in the Primera División, the top tier of the Paraguayan football league starting from 2022 after winning the División Intermedia in the 2021 season, and hold their home games at the Estadio Ka'arendy which has a capacity of 10,120 people. History Founded on 21 June 1962 by a group of residents of Juan León Mallorquín, the club was one of the founders of the ''Liga Ka’arendy de Fútbol'', the local football competition, of which it is one of the most winning clubs. General Caballero first entered a nationwide competition in 2003, taking part in the Copa de Campeones de la UFI, but failing to achieve promotion to the División Intermedia. Estadio Ka'arendy, previously known as Estadio Leandro Ovelar, is a football stadium in Paraguay that is located in the downtown area of the city of Dr. Juan León Mallorquín, about 650 meters north of route PY02. After its renovation in 2022 it has an capacity of 10,120 seats. It is the home venue of Primera División club, General Caballero. The Unión del Fútbol del Interior ( en, Football Union of the Interior) or UFI is an association affiliated to the Paraguayan Football Association that was founded in 1927 to organize and govern football outside of Asunción, specifically on each of the different Departments of Paraguay. The UFI is constituted by the clubs and leagues that are part of the Departmental Football Federation from each Department in Paraguay. Club tournaments organized by the UFI gives chances to teams from all over Paraguay to reach the first division by clearing lower division levels. Club Rubio Ñu is a Paraguayan football club based in the Barrio Santísima Trinidad of Asunción. The club was founded August 24, 1913 and plays in the División Intermedia, the second division of the Paraguayan football league. Their home games are played at the Estadio La Arboleda which has a capacity of approximately 8,000 seats. Tacuary Football Club is a Paraguayan First Division football team, based in the neighborhood of Jara, Asunción. The club was founded in 1923. Tacuary qualified for the Copa Libertadores tournament twice (in 2005 and 2007) and the Copa Sudamericana twice (in 2007 and 2012). In 2013 it returned to the Paraguayan Segunda División. The Primera División B (''First Division B'': in English), also known as Primera División B Metropolitana or simply Primera B Metropolitana in order to distinguish it from the Primera División B Nacional, is the metropolitan tournament of the Paraguayan Tercera División. Primero De Marzo
Primero de Marzo (or 1° de Marzo) is a small town and district in the marshy lowlands of the Cordillera Department in Paraguay. The area is located near the shallow meandering river Yhaguy which locals utilize primarily for fishing and recreation. Primero de Marzo's name is derived from the date March 1, 1870, when then Paraguayan President Francisco Solano López was killed by Brazilian troops at Cerro Corá, thereby ending the bloody War of the Triple Alliance.
