Cerro De Pasco
Cerro de Pasco is a city in central Peru, located at the top of the Andean mountains. It is the capital of the Pasco region, and an important mining center. At elevation, it is one of the highest cities in the world, and the highest or the second highest city with over 50,000 inhabitants, with elevation reaching up to in the Yanacancha area. It is connected by road and by rail to the capital Lima, away. Mining center Cerro de Pasco became one of the world's richest silver producing areas after silver was discovered there in 1630. Artificial turf is a surface of synthetic fibers made to look like natural grass. It is most often used in arenas for sports that were originally or are normally played on grass. However, it is now being used on residential lawns and commercial applications as well. Unión Minas is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Cerro de Pasco. The club was founded 23 April 1974 and plays in the Copa Perú which is the third division of the Peruvian league. High Altitude Football Controversy
The high-altitude football controversy arose in May 2007 when FIFA introduced a temporary ban on international matches at more than above sea level, citing concerns about players' health and the "unfair" advantage to acclimatised home teams.
