Established Titles
Established Titles is a company which purports to sell souvenir plots of Scottish land from 1 sq ft (0.09 m2) to 20 sq ft (1.86 m2). While the company claims that those who buy the 'plots' can choose to be titled Lord, Laird or Lady, as part of a supposed "traditional Scottish custom", souvenir plots are too small to be legally registered for ownership and owners of souvenir plots do not have the right to officially title themselves. Doing so may violate the Honours (Prevention of Abuses) Act 1925, which prohibits the sale of titles of nobility in the United Kingdom. The company also keeps legal ownership. It owns land in Ardallie, Aberdeenshire, Dunfermline, Dumfries, Galloway and the Borders. It was founded by CEO Katerina Yip. Established Titles has allegedly been referred to the Advertising Standards Authority. Established Titles has sponsored many YouTubers as part of its aggressive marketing efforts. Souvenir title or souvenir plots are a commonly sold online good or physical gift set whereby a seller will advertise ownership of a small plot of land in Scotland, advertising that the buyer will obtain the legal right of ownership in Scots law and/or the right to style themselves as a noble lord (in Scots: laird) or lady upon purchase. However the purchase is of no legal effect and many commentators of the sales practice consider it to be a scam. Galloway

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) is the self-regulatory organisation of the advertising industry in the United Kingdom. Dumfries
