Ernie Norman
Ernest James Norman (12 October 1912 – 3 August 1993) was an Australian rugby league player - a state and national representative or . His club career was with the Eastern Suburbs club in the New South Wales Rugby Football League competition. Norman played with Easts for nine seasons between 1931 and 1939. He played over 100 matches for that club and was a member of the Easts sides that won consecutive premierships in seasons 1935, 1936 and 1937. Playing career Norman was born in Paddington, New South Wales in 1912 and was an Eastern Suburbs junior. He was graded with Easts at seventeen years of age and made his Australian debut two years later at nineteen. Throughout his career he made fifteen state representative appearances for New South Wales and played in twelve Tests for the Australia national rugby league team. Raymond Ernest Stehr (24 January 1913 – 2 June 1983) was an Australian rugby league footballer, a New South Wales Rugby League team, state and Australia national rugby league team, national representative player whose club career was played at Sydney's Sydney Roosters, Eastern Suburbs club. He has been named as one of the nation's finest footballers of the 20th century. Early life Stehr was born in the country New South Wales town of Warialda in 1913 of Germans, German descent. As an eight-year-old child, he was diagnosed an ''incurable cripple'' after developing blood clots at the base of his spine. He was unable to walk for two years and spent twelve months strapped to a stretcher, completely immobilised with his back encased in a plaster cast. Matthew Colin "Col" Donohoe (1929-1986) was an Australian professional rugby league footballer for the Eastern Suburbs and South Sydney clubs, playing between 1951 and 1959. Club career Col Donohoe, a half-back, played 4 seasons with the Sydney Roosters in 1949, 1951,1952 and 1953. Donohoe then played 5 seasons at South Sydney Rabbitohs between 1955 and 1959. He is remembered by South's fans as the man who scored a try late in the grand final that won South Sydney Rabbitohs the 1955 Premiership.
