Ernesto Castro
Ernesto Alfredo Castro Aldana (born 26 May 1971) is a Salvadoran politician who is the incumbent president of the Legislative Assembly of El Salvador. Political career From 2012 to 2015, Castro was the secretary and private advisor to the municipal mayor of Nuevo Cuscatlán, who was then Nayib Bukele. From 2015 to 2018, he served as Bukele's Secretary and Private Advisor when he was serving as Mayor of San Salvador. Castro became the private secretary to President Bukele on 1 June 2019. In the 2021 Salvadoran legislative election, Castro was elected as a deputy to the Legislative Assembly of El Salvador from the department of San Salvador. On 1 May 2021, he was voted in as the President of the Legislative Assembly with 64 votes in favor of him and 20 abstentions. National Coalition Party (El Salvador)
The National Coalition Party ( es, Partido de Concertación Nacional, PCN) is a nationalist political party in El Salvador. Until 2011 it was known as the National Conciliation Party ( es, Partido de Conciliación Nacional, PCN). It was the most powerful political party in the country during the 1960s and 1970s, and was closely associated with the Salvadoran military. Julio Adalberto Rivera Carballo, a candidate of the National Conciliation Party, was elected president in 1962, and the next three presidents were also from the party. The Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front ( es, Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional, FMLN) is a left-wing political party in El Salvador. Grand Alliance For National Unity
The Grand Alliance for National Unity (GANA; es, Gran Alianza por la Unidad Nacional) is a political party in El Salvador. The party established itself on 16 January 2010 and was recognized by the Supreme Electoral Court of El Salvador on 19 May of the same year. The majority of party members came from the ARENA. Originally the defection from ARENA included 12 deputies in the Legislative Assembly, but this number has grown to 16.
