Ernesto Albán
Ernesto Albán Mosquera (June 5, 1912, in Ambato – July 22, 1984, in Quito) was a popular vaudeville and film actor in Ecuador. Biography Alban was born in Ambato in 1912. His parents were Luis Alfonso Albán Egüez and Dolores Mosquera Veloz. He started as a singer of tangos and later became one of the most popular actors in Ecuador. He started acting in theatrical plays in the 1930s. He and his wife, Chavica Gómez, gained fame as actors, and formed a theater company, which consisted of other acclaimed actors such as Oscar Guerra and Lastenia Rivadeneira, with whom he launched the "Estampas Quiteñas", comedies regarding the humor of everyday life in Ecuador. Ambato, Ecuador
Ambato (; full form, San Juan de Ambato; Quechuan languages, Quechua: Ampatu Llaqta) is a city located in the central Andes, Andean valley of Ecuador. Lying on the banks of the Ambato River (Ecuador), Ambato River, the city also sits beneath several tall mountains. It is the Tungurahua province capital city Tungurahua Province, Tungurahua, at an elevation of 2,577 meters above sea level. It is variously nicknamed "City of Flowers and Fruits", "Land of the Three Juan's", and "Garden of Ecuador." Joaquín Dicenta
Joaquín Dicenta Benedicto (1862–1917) was a Spanish journalist, novelist, playwright, poet and Republican politician. His 1895 play '' Juan José'', whose representation became a staple of every May Day, was the second-most performed in the Spanish repertory between 1895 and 1939. Biography Born on 3 February 1862 in Calatayud, province of Zaragoza, some sources question the traditional birthplace, suggesting he was actually born in Vitoria. Joaquín Dicenta started his studies in the Escolapios' of Getafe College (Madrid), and later in Alicante. He was expelled from the in Segovia because of his unruly attitude. His literary career began with the publication of his poems in the tabloid Eden. Gradually, as he gained fame, he began writing in other journals. He was a fervent opponent of the social order and this is reflected in his works. Jacinto Benavente y Martínez (12 August 1866 – 14 July 1954) was one of the foremost Spanish dramatists of the 20th century. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1922 "for the happy manner in which he has continued the illustrious traditions of the Spanish drama".
