Ernest Rude
Ernest Rude (23 January 1871 – 18 March 1948) was a Norwegian photographer. He was born in Drammen as a son of photographer Christoffer Gade Rude (1839–1901) and his wife Andrea Elise Geelmuyden (1839–1920). He was an uncle of Finn Støren. He started his career in his father's company, and from 1907 to 1910 he ran a company together with Frederik Hilfling-Rasmussen. He continued to run this company until his death in March 1948 in Oslo, from 1943 with Andreas Thorsrud who took it over. As a photographer Rude was best known for portrait photography. He chaired the Norwegian Association of Professional Photographers from 1912 to 1927 and became an honorary member in 1946. Drammen
Drammen () is a city and municipality in Viken (county), Viken, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway. Drammen municipality also includes smaller towns and villages such as Konnerud, Svelvik, Mjøndalen and Skoger. Location Drammen is located west of the Oslofjord and is situated approximately 44 km South-west of Oslo. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Early life, education and marriage He was born in Larvik as the son of school inspector Hermann Olai Helle (1893–1973) and teacher Berta Marie Malm (1906–1991). He was the older brother of politician Ingvar Lars Helle. The family moved to Hetland when Knut Helle was seventeen years old. He took the examen artium in Stavanger in 1949, and a teacher's education in Kristiansand in 1952. He studied philology in Oslo and Bergen, and graduated with the cand.philol. degree in 1957. Finn Støren
Finn Sofus Støren (20 November 1893 – 18 April 1962) was a Norwegian businessperson and civil servant for Nasjonal Samling. He was born in Kristiansand as a son of customs officer Petter Johan Nicolay Støren (1866–1924) and Elise Christopha Rude (1867–1926). He had a twin brother, was a nephew of Ernest Rude and his father was a cousin of Johan Nicolai Støren. The family moved to Kristiania when Finn was seven years old. He took his examen artium as a private candidate in 1914, and spent time in Belgium, the United States, Norway, Germany, Spain and Russia. He spent four years in Russia, and became an anti-Communist. He then lived for two years in Colombia and four years in Panama. In 1930 he became Norwegian consul in Panama. In April 1919 he had married Inger Lorange Suhrke, a daughter of architect and politician Wilhelm Christian Suhrke. Frederik Hilfling-Rasmussen
Jens Carl Frederik Hilfling-Rasmussen (14 October 1869 – 23 February 1941) was a Danish-born Norwegian photographer. He was born in Brenderup, Denmark as a son of photographer Jens Rasmussen. He grew up in Assens, where he learned photography in his father's company. He worked in Copenhagen from 1890 to 1896, and then migrated to Kristiania. He started his own photo studio in 1898, and by 1905 he was preferred as the official photographer of many events. Oslo

Order Of The Dannebrog
The Order of the Dannebrog ( da, Dannebrogordenen) is a Danish order of chivalry instituted in 1671 by Christian V. Until 1808, membership in the order was limited to fifty members of noble or royal rank, who formed a single class known as ''White Knights'' to distinguish them from the ''Blue Knights'' who were members of the Order of the Elephant. In 1808, the Order was reformed and divided into four classes. The ''Grand Commander'' class is reserved to persons of princely origin. It is awarded only to royalty with close family ties with the Danish Royal House. The statute of the Order was amended in 1951 by a Royal Ordinance so that both men and women could be members of the Order. Rolf Rude (2 April 1899 – 5 November 1971) was a Norwegian painter. He was born in Oslo as a son of photographer Ernest Rude. He is represented in the National Gallery of Norway with six paintings and several woodcuts. He chaired the Association of Norwegian Printmakers from 1953 to 1964 and Bildende Kunstneres Styre from 1964 to 1967. He resided in Bærum, later in Ullern.
