Jeff Erna
Jeff Erna is an American drummer, from Boston, Massachusetts, most notable for being the original drummer for the punk bands Dropkick Murphys and Street Dogs. Career Erna began his professional career in the Boston garage band Jared, which produced its single "Space Traveler" in 1980. He was the original drummer for the punk/ new wave band The Blackjacks and drummed for the Boston based rock band The Outlets. In 1996, Erna, The Outlets' guitarist Rick Barton, singer Mike McColgan, and bassist Ken Casey formed the Dropkick Murphys. Erna would appear on the band's earliest 7" records, compilation appearances and their '' Boys on the Docks'' EP before leaving the band in 1997 shortly before the recording of their debut album, '' Do or Die''. Erna was replaced by their current drummer Matt Kelly. In 2002, Erna along with Mike McColgan formed the punk band Street Dogs. Salvatore Paul Erna Jr. (born February 7, 1968) is an American singer, musician, and songwriter, best known as the vocalist and rhythm guitarist for rock band Godsmack. He is also a harmonica player, drummer, and percussionist, performing these on albums and at live shows. He was ranked 47th in the Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists by ''Hit Parader''. Early life Sully Erna was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He began playing drums at the age of three. His father, Salvatore Erna Sr., was a trumpet player from Sicily and would rehearse in the basement where Sully would watch. His great-uncle was a famous composer in Sicily. At the age of 11, Erna discovered that it was easier for him to listen to something and play it than read sheet music. Anna Van Gogh-Kaulbach
Anna Maria van Gogh-Kaulbach (31 December 1869 – 28 January 1960) was a Dutch writer and translator. She published a number of works under the pen names Wilhelmina Reynbach, Erna, Mac Peter and Wata. Biography The daughter of Frans Ludwig Eduard Kaulbach, a physician, and Helena Maria Cornelia van Reijn, she was born Anna Maria Kaulbachin Velsen. Her parents had six other children who all died shortly after birth. When she was two, her mother became blind. She attended a primary girls' school in Beverwijk and a girls' Hogere Burgerschool in Haarlem. In 1892, she published her first story in ''Elsevier's Geïllustreerd Maandschrift''. Érna
The Iverni (, ') were a people of early Ireland first mentioned in Ptolemy's 2nd century ''Geography'' as living in the extreme south-west of the island. He also locates a "city" called Ivernis (, ') in their territory, and observes that this settlement has the same name as the island as a whole, Ivernia (, '). It was probably once the name given to all the peoples of Ireland, but by Ptolemy's time had a more restricted usage applicable to the inhabitants of the south-west. These Iverni can be identified linguistically with the Érainn (Éraind, Érnai, Érna), a people attested in Munster and elsewhere in the early Middle Ages. The prehistoric Érainn royal dynasties are sometimes referred to as the Dáirine. Erna Raid ( et, Erna retk) was an annual international military exercise and competition, one of the longest and most difficult in the world, held every August from 1995 to 2011 in Estonia.
