Elli Erl
Elisabeth Maria Erl (born 25 May 1979) is a German singer-songwriter. She came to fame as the winner of the second season of the television show ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'', the German ''Idol'' series adaptation. With ''DSDS'', Erl appeared on the collaborative top ten single "Believe in Miracles", while her coronation song and debut single " This Is My Life" peaked at number three on the German Singles Chart and reached the top ten in Austria. Erl's pop rock–influenced debut studio album, ''Shout It Out'' (2003), reached the top forty of the German Albums Chart but was significantly less successful than previous ''DSDS'' releases. Erl has since released three further albums, including ''Moving On'' (2007), ''Neue Generation'' (2008) and her latest effort ''Human'' (2009). While none of the singles released from these albums became major hit singles on the pop charts, songs such as "In My Dream", "Not My Type", "Get Up" and "Can't Deny It" entered the German Single ...

Effects Range Low
In environmental toxicology, effects range low (ERL) and effects range median (ERM) are measures of toxicity in marine sediment. They are used by public agencies in the United States in formulating guidelines in assessing toxicity hazards, in particular from trace metals or organic contaminants. The ERL and ERM measures are expressed as specific chemical concentrations of a toxic substance in sediment. The ERL indicates the concentration below which toxic effects are scarcely observed or predicted: the ERM indicates that above which effects are generally or always observed.Long, Edward R., Donald D. McDonald, Sherri L. Smith, and Fred D. Calder. "Incidence of Adverse Biological Effects Within Range of Chemical Concentrations in Marine and Estuarine Sediments." Environmental Management 19.1 (1995): 81-97. They are derived from biological toxicity assays and synoptic sampling. The numerical values are incorporated in sediment quality guidelines (SQGs) that were developed by Long and ...

Estonian Patriotic Movement
The Estonian Patriotic Movement (''Eesti Rahvuslik Liikumine'', ERL) was a political pressure group in Estonia. The group was set up in the middle of 2006 to promote the removal of the monument to the Bronze Soldier of Tallinn from the heart of the Estonian capital, Tallinn. In February 2012, it claimed a membership of 268. Politics , the primary political positions of the ERL were opposition to building the planned Nord Stream 1 pipeline through the Baltic Sea, dislike for Estonia being a member state of the European Union, support for a NATO military base being installed in Estonia and disdain for the Estonian Centre Party's perceived improper acts. The movement has also repeatedly expressed displeasure for the Russian Federation's covert influence in Estonia's internal affairs. On June 20, 2007, the movement issued a press release demanding declaring the Russian Ambassador to Estonia, Nikolai Uspenski, a ''persona non grata'' based on his repeated attempts to exert such infl ...

Erlang (programming Language)
Erlang ( ) is a general-purpose, concurrent, functional programming language, and a garbage-collected runtime system. The term Erlang is used interchangeably with Erlang/OTP, or Open Telecom Platform (OTP), which consists of the Erlang runtime system, several ready-to-use components (OTP) mainly written in Erlang, and a set of design principles for Erlang programs. The Erlang runtime system is designed for systems with these traits: *Distributed *Fault-tolerant * Soft real-time * Highly available, non-stop applications *Hot swapping, where code can be changed without stopping a system. The Erlang programming language has immutable data, pattern matching, and functional programming. The sequential subset of the Erlang language supports eager evaluation, single assignment, and dynamic typing. A normal Erlang application is built out of hundreds of small Erlang processes. It was originally proprietary software within Ericsson, developed by Joe Armstrong, Robert Virding, an ...
