Erin Teresa McDonald (born 25 November 1980) is a New Zealand former cricketer who played as a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. She appeared in three Women's One Day International matches for New Zealand in 2000, and was part of New Zealand's squad for the 2000 Women's Cricket World Cup. Lower Hutt ( mi, Te Awa Kairangi ki Tai) is a city in the Wellington Region of New Zealand. Administered by the Hutt City Council, it is one of the four cities that constitute the Wellington metropolitan area. It is New Zealand's sixth most populous city, with a population of . The total area administered by the council is around the lower half of the Hutt Valley and along the eastern shores of Wellington Harbour, of which is urban. 2000 Women's Cricket World Cup
The 2000 CricInfo Women's Cricket World Cup was an international cricket tournament played in New Zealand from 29 November to 23 December 2000. It was the seventh edition of the Women's Cricket World Cup, and the second to be hosted by New Zealand, after the 1982 tournament. The World Cup was organised by the International Women's Cricket Council (IWCC), with matches played over 50 overs. New Zealand defeated Australia by four runs in the final, winning their first and only title. India and South Africa were the losing semi-finalists, while the other four teams were England, Sri Lanka, Ireland, and the Netherlands. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. Women's One Day International (WODI) is the limited overs form of women's cricket. Matches are scheduled for 50 overs, equivalent to the men's game. The first women's ODIs were played in 1973, as part of the first Women's World Cup which was held in England. The first ODI saw the hosts beat an International XI. The 1,000th women's ODI took place between South Africa and New Zealand on 13 October 2016.
