Erin Marcus
Erin N. Marcus is an American internal medicine doctor who writes on public health and Health equity, health disparity issues for ''The Washington Post'', ''The Atlantic'', ''The New York Times'', and other publications. Career Marcus is a general internist and a professor of clinical medicine at the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. Much of her non-academic writing focuses on how different public policies affect the diverse patients she sees as a primary care physician in Miami. Marcus is a former American Association for the Advancement of Science Mass Media Fellow and worked as a newspaper reporter before receiving her medical degree. The Ford Foundation is an American private foundation with the stated goal of advancing human welfare. Created in 1936 by Edsel Ford and his father Henry Ford, it was originally funded by a US$25,000 gift from Edsel Ford.
