Erik Rutan
Erik Rutan (born June 10, 1971) is an American heavy metal musician and producer from New Jersey. He is the guitarist and lead vocalist of death metal band Hate Eternal and lead guitarist for Cannibal Corpse, who he fully joined in 2021 after acting as a fill-in guitarist during their 2019 tour. Rutan has also spent time with Morbid Angel (three different stints) and Ripping Corpse. When not performing, Rutan operates his own recording studio in Florida called Mana Recording Studios. Recording Rutan started his metal career with Ripping Corpse, recording one album titled '' Dreaming with the Dead'' released in 1991. Around 1995, he left to join Morbid Angel, recording ''Domination'' (1995) before leaving in 1996 to found his own band, Hate Eternal, releasing their first album '' Conquering the Throne'' in 1999. ''Red Before Black'' is the fourteenth studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, released on November 3, 2017. This is the band's final album to feature guitarist Pat O'Brien before producer Erik Rutan officially replaced him in 2021. Background The band started to write the album in 2016 after the last run of touring for their previous album, ''A Skeletal Domain''. When interviewed in 2017 drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz stated that the band never go by any specific blueprints when they start writing for an album, pointing out that this was also the case with ''Red Before Black''. However the idea of utilizing some slower doom elements was discussed beforehand. This manifested in a couple of songs, while they mostly remained true to their death metal sound and thrash metal roots. ''Kill'' is the tenth studio album by American death metal band Cannibal Corpse, released on March 21, 2006. This release marks the return of guitarist Rob Barrett, who had previously played on '' The Bleeding'' and '' Vile''. The European version of the album comes with a live DVD filmed in Strasbourg in 2004 called ''Hammer Smashed Laiterie''. The album was produced at Mana Recording Studios by Hate Eternal and future Cannibal Corpse guitarist Erik Rutan. It is also the first album in which the band tuned down to G# standard. Music videos were produced for the tracks "Make Them Suffer" and "Death Walking Terror". Belphegor (band)
Belphegor is an Austrian blackened death metal band from Salzburg. They originally formed in 1991 under the name Betrayer before changing their name in 1993, deriving their current name from the demon Belphegor. History Early years (1991–1997) Belphegor was founded as Betrayer in 1991 by vocalist and bassist Maxx, guitarists Helmuth and Sigurd, and drummer Chris. The band released their first demo ''Kruzifixion'' in April 1991, and ''Unborn Blood'' later on. After adopting the name Belphegor in 1993, they released another demo, ''Bloodbath in Paradise'' on Maxi-CD format. At somepoint before or after the release of this demo, Maxx departed from the band, resulting in Helmuth assuming his role as both vocalist and guitarist of Belphegor since. The Floyd Rose Locking Tremolo, or simply Floyd Rose, is a type of locking vibrato arm for a guitar. Floyd D.
