Erick Rodríguez (runner)
Erick Rodríguez (born 1 June 1990) is a Nicaraguan middle-distance runner competing in the 1500 metres and 3000 metres steeplechase. He represented his country at the 2015 World Championships and 2016 World Indoor Championships without advancing from the first round. He competed for Nicaragua at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the men's 1500 m event. He finished 15th in his heat and did not qualify for the semifinals. He was the flag bearer for Nicaragua during the closing ceremony. He is the national record holder in the 1500 metres both outdoors and indoors. Jinotega
Jinotega () (derived from Náhuatl: ''Xiotenko'' ‘place next to the jiñocuajo trees’) is the capital city of the Department of Jinotega in north-central Nicaragua. The city is located in a long valley surrounded by the cool climate and Dariense Isabelia ridge located 142km north of the capital Managua. In 2012, the Department of Jinotega had a total population of 417,372, of which 123,548 lived in the capital city. The 2009 Central American and Caribbean Championships (Spanish: ''XXII Campeonato CAC Atletismo'') was the twenty second edition of the tournament and was held between 3 and 7 July in Havana, Cuba. Event summary The host country Cuba dominated the tournament, winning the most gold, silver, and bronze medals, and finishing with a total of 53 medals. Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago were joint second with two gold, five silver and seven bronze medals. Colombia, Puerto Rico and Saint Kitts and Nevis also picked up two gold medals. Championships records were broken in over a quarter of the athletics events, bringing a total of 11 new records. A handful of national records were also broken at the Championships. Xalapa, Mexico
Xalapa or Jalapa (, ), officially Xalapa-Enríquez (), is the capital city of the Mexican state of Veracruz and the name of the surrounding municipality.
